strengthen democracy from the Netherlands.
Our Story
Started by Americans living in the Netherlands and welcoming everyone who shares our values, Indivisible Netherlands stands for democracy and against authoritarianism.
Through concrete actions to fight back against undemocratic laws and leadership, we seek to serve as a vibrant space for Americans and allies in the Netherlands to build community solidarity with Americans everywhere.
OUR MISSION
Indivisible Netherlands is dedicated to:
Serving as an outlet for Americans living in the Netherlands to come together and engage in civic action in support of democracy, in America and abroad
Holding American government officials accountable for their complicity in undermining the Constitution and facilitating the spread of authoritarianism
Informing Americans living abroad in the Netherlands and allies in the Netherlands of legal and social developments that impact our freedoms, our health, and our safety, and actions we can take to preserve them, including boycotts and strikes
Creating community with organizations in the Netherlands that share our values by mutually promoting and participating in each other’s efforts on behalf of liberty and justice for all
Taking direct action, including group efforts, to contact elected officials to cast votes that reflect the will of the people, and protesting extreme and inhumane policies in America and the Netherlands
What we stand for
We stand in opposition to the current US administration’s unjust and cruel attacks that hurt immigrants, minorities, and marginalized people, destabilize our allies, suppress free speech, erase climate progress and scientific research, endanger the LGBTQI+ community, undermine gender equality, disenfranchise voters, and blatantly disregard the US Constitution and international law.
We are united to remind the world that we have the power, and we are claiming it together. We are not watching history happen—we’re making it.
